Dr Caterina Fanello BSc PhD

Honorary Lecturer

I graduated in Biology from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1995. I joined the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 1998 where I also completed my doctorate in 2002 with a thesis on malaria vector control in Africa. I currently work for the University of Oxford, Mahidol Oxford Research Unit (MORU) and my research focuses on the efficacy of antimalarial drugs.

I am involved in the teaching of the course of Malaria and Epidemiology & Control of Infectious Diseases in Developing Countries for the DL Master Program.

Research

I have broad interests in infectious disease and tropical epidemiology, with particular emphasis upon developing programs for improving children’s health.
