I am an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow, appointed to the North London Public Health training programme in 2009.

After graduating in Medicine from University of Birmingham and completing an intercalated BSc in International Health from UCL, I entered clinical practice in the UK Foundation Programme. I completed an MSc in Public Health at LSHTM and worked at NHS Tower Hamlets Public Health Directorate and North East and Central London Health Protection Unit.

Research

My primary research interest is alcohol marketing. I've also conducted research relating to childhood obesity, alcohol and tobacco. This included a European research collaboration to develop an online health impact assessment tool (DYNAMO-HIA) which we used to assess the health impacts of increasing alcohol prices in 11 EU countries.
