I studied a BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences at University of Brighton, and an MSc in Microbiology part-time at Birkbeck College. I am currently studying for a PhD part-time at LSHTM.
My previous employment was at the Veterinary Laboratories Agency working in Commercial product testing and development of procedures to MHRA, GLP and GMP standards.
I have also worked at a Pharmaceutical company, Allergy Therapeutics, in Quality Control, batch testing products before release using various ELISA tests.
I have previously worked on the FP6 malaria imitiative ANTIMAL, who's goal was to establish a portfolio of new antimalarial drugs from within the European scientific community.
I am currently working on a Bill and Melinda Gates foundation funded project on Human African Trypanosomiasis.
