Research Assistant

Wendy is a veterinarian with interests in zoonotic pathogens, public health and mathematical modelling. She completed her veterinary degree in 2007 at the Royal Veterinary College in London, and following a short period in clinical veterinary practice she completed a Masters degree in veterinary epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the Royal Veterinary College (2010). Following this, she worked at the Royal Veterinary College as  Research Assistant on diverse projects including systematic reviews, a randomized controlled trial and a risk analysis of re-introduction of a globally-eradicated virus (rinderpest), funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. She recently submitted her PhD on the dynamics of Brucella transmission in livestock, wildlife and humans in Kazakhstan and is currently working as a Research Assistant at LSHTM.
