Jonathan Bartlett MMath MSc PhD

Lecturer

I studied for the Master in Mathematics degree at the University of Warwick before taking the MSc in Medical Statistics at LSHTM in 2004-2005. Following this, I worked as a Research Assistant in the Medical Statistics unit at LSHTM for one year.

From 2006-2010 I undertook a PhD, under the supervision of Chris Frost and Bianca DeStavola, in which I investigated methods to allow for the effects of covariate measurement error, and in particular their application in life-course studies.

I currently contribute to the teaching of the Foundations and GLM units for the Medical Statistics MSc and the Causal Inference in Epidemiology short course.

I am also involved in teaching courses in methods to deal with missing data.

Research

In 2010 I began a new position as Research Fellow in the Medical Statistics Unit, working with James Carpenter and Mike Kenward. My research involves investigating methods to deal with missing data, and also dissemination of methodology to researchers, in particular via the website www.missingdata.org.uk.

I also provided statistical support to researchers at the Dementia Research Centre, UCL.
