Kristin Banek BA MPH

Research Degree Student

Kristin Banek graduated with a BA in Biology and German from Saint Olaf College in Minnesota. After working for some years as a Laboratory Assistant for various genetic and molecular research projects, she returned to graduate school to pursue a career in public health.   

Kristin earned a MPH from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in the department of International Health and Development with a focus on epidemiology and tropical medicine (disease control).

Kristin has spent the last ten years working in the field researching and/or implementing malaria interventions in Uganda, Liberia, Angola, Sierra Leone, Kenya and on the Thai-Burmese border.
