Mr Dan Arthur Bsc

International IT Adviser & UCU Branch Secretary

Dan has worked at the school since 1999 originally providing technical support to the Faculty ofEpidemiology and Population Health, since April 2012 as International IT Adviser.

The purpose of the IITA role is to improve the School's provision of support for overseas sites, to increase communication between sites and to recommend strategic purchases to improve services to sites overseas.

Previous EPH role - supervising the EPH Computing Helpdesk and providing system level services to users. Dan also has faculty level responsibility for installing and maintaining most project servers particularly for high recruitment clinical trials such as the CRASH trial. Areas of expertise include Linux with an interest in cross-platform collaborative software.

Since 2008 active in the UCU branch and since 2009 Branch Secretary of the LSHTM University and Colleges Union Branch, a branch negotiator and caseworker.

Dan has recently completed MA in Labour and Trade Union Studies at London Metropolitan University
