American Friends Scholarship Fund
By giving to the American Friends Scholarship Fund, you will help to ensure that the brightest students from the United States can continue to study at the School, regardless of their ability to pay.
While the School offers a very high return on investment compared to its peer institutions in the United States, there are many bright students for whom international fees would be prohibitive. American students also have fewer options for government loans and private scholarships than domestic students or those from lower-income countries.
We invite you to join us in enabling the brightest minds to study at the School by providing invaluable financial support.
US tax payers can make a one-off or recurring tax-deductible gift through our PayPal account.
How Your Donations Help
While full scholarships are welcome, even relatively modest amounts can make a huge difference to a student’s finances:
- $100 buys textbooks for a course.
- $300 funds a short-term residency at a state-of-the-art infectious diseases research facility.
- $1,000 allows a master’s student to travel overseas, under the supervision of world-leading scientists, to complete a summer research project on a real-world public health problem.
About the American Friends Scholarship Fund
The Board of the American Friends of the London School established a scholarship fund in 2014 with a generous leading gift and has committed to renewing this gift annually. The Board also volunteers its time to host fundraising events in support of the fund. The inaugural fundraiser, held outside Philadelphia in the spring of 2014, raised $24,000 for the fund. Your support can further our ability to help students in need.
