The 2011 Annual Fund
Since our foundation in 1899, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine alumni have played a significant role in the School realising its mission to improve health world-wide. LSHTM has relied on the generosity of its benefactors to enable it to flourish. In these challenging times we are asking our alumni to support programmes and projects focused on delivering this mission. Specifically, we seek to raise funds for Scholarships, Partnerships and our Laboratories.

The Andy Haines Scholarship Fund
The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine hope to raise £1,000,000 to establish a scholarship fund, The Andy Haines Scholarship Fund, in recognition of the tremendous success of the School over the last 10 years under the leadership of Professor Sir Andy Haines, who stepped down as Director in 2010. The Fund, which has already received a significant donation from Andy Haines himself, will be used for Scholarships to support Postgraduate Diploma and Masters Students undertaking study with the School. In seeking this funding, the aim is to provide support for individuals who demonstrate the talent, attitude and potential to make a direct and valuable contribution to health worldwide in the future, and who should not be denied that opportunity today.
